Buying online Curt Manufacturing 11327 Class I Receiver Works for 1998-2002 Accord 4 Cyl 4 Dr with minor mods.By Damon HubertyWe accidentally bought this hitch which is designed to fit newer accords rather than our year. After holding up the hitch to the car, we found out that the hitch lined up correctly on the frame but was short of the existing pre-drilled holes. So first, we unhooked the muffler and moved it to the side to gain access to the frame on the passengers side. Then, we marked and drilled new holes with a 7/16" drill bit in the frame on each side.Then, the access hole was too small of fit the plate and bolt through it. So we squared off the round access hole by cutting two slits a short distance with a jig saw and bending the metal down with vice grips to fit the required hardware through it. After these two minor mods, the rest of the install went without a hitch.
