This hitch came super fast and was much easier to install than the hitch for my old 2003 Toyota Tacoma. I bought this current hitch for a 2008 Escape Hybrid to hook up a hitch basket for cargo. Before installing, do a YOUTUBE search for an install video and it will all make sense and show you how to fish the bolts and spacers into the frame. I was able to install this by myself in my garage without a lift or jacking up the car. Remove the spare tire for more room and get a headlamp flashlight so you can work handsfree (oh, and a pair of safety glasses!). I used two Rubbermaid Action Packer 24 Gal storage containers on either side of me under the car to prop the hitch up, it held it up perfectly so I could match the holes and get the first bolts in! Remember to start with the holes closest to the front of the car first.
